So for those that are not big horror movie buffs or perhaps you just haven't caught wind of it yet, there is a majorly awesome movie that has hit limited theaters. This little gem (or what I hope is a gem) is called The Human Centipede.
Now I haven't actually seen this movie yet, so this blog will not be a review, but more of an introduction and my thoughts on what will be seen. Review will come soon because I MUST see this disgusting yet awesome looking movie.
So in case you can't tell from the title (which is one of my favorite things by the way; I love movies that tell you EXACTLY what you're in for. Other examples include Drag Me to Hell, The Breakup, etc.) the movie is about this German surgeon who at one time was highly praised for his great work until he went a little crazy and tried attaching multiples of subjects together. Fortunately for him, a couple of American tourist girls get lost in the woods (typical) and run to his house for safety and warmth. Unfortunately for the poor American girls, they then get trapped in this crazy German house of horrors where they are the new playthings for the creepy surgeon who wants to attach them and a fellow Asian man into one human centipede.
From the preview, and some reviews I have read, this movie basically does every disgusting thing you can think of and you get to see it all.
The actors in this movie are all basically unknowns according to IMDB.com. Unless you remember any extra Asian man from reality shows such as From G's to Gents, or New York goes to Hollywood or you are a regular watcher of German movies. If you are then you will get to see your favorite actors ripped apart and go nuts! Otherwise, for everyone else, you will be watching people whom you have never seen before, (and most likely wont be seeing in the sequel) get torn apart and tortured. Now who doesn't love that?
As an extra little surprise for you all who are as excited as I am, the writer/director Tom Six, has already said that he is in the process of writing and creating a sequel to this which includes, are you ready for this? A 24 PERSON HUMAN CENTIPEDE! Now since I haven't already seen the first centipede movie I can't vouch for how gross and creepy it actually is...but I can use my imagination to get an idea of the sequel. SO FREAKING EXCITED.
For those that are interested in seeing this movie in theaters the closest theater I found playing it (closest to Long Island that is) is the IFC theater located at 323 Avenue of the Americas in NYC. (Its a pretty awesome theater so if you want to go see this nastily amazing flick in theaters, which I suggest, then this is the theater to go to. Plus you kind of have no choice.)
Have a great weekend everyone!
